AN Outwell woman has spoken of her distress after discovering the body of a man on Saturday morning.
Kim Faiers made the upsetting find near a caravan situated on land off Wisbech Road (A1101) after investigating some dogs she had seen near the road.

Kim was driving along the road with husband John, on their way to Wisbech when they saw three do
gs, which she described as "very thin".

When they came back along the road a short while later and the dogs were still there, they decided to stop and see if the animals were all right.

"The dogs kept going back to a dyke that runs near the road and I thought they might be trying to say their owner had gone in there," Kim said. "We stopped and I ran across a field to the caravan, trying to see where the dogs had gone.

"I could see a car and the bonnet was up. A man was leaning over the engine, like he was looking at it. I was shouting at him, 'Excuse me,' but there was no answer. My husband said he thought he was dead."

The police were called and Kim praised officers for attending so quickly.

It is not yet known when or how the man died, but Kim believed he had been there "a while". She describes him as being an older man.

"It's so sad this poor man had just been there. If it hadn't been for the dogs, we wouldn't have found him. It was a complete fluke. It was a traumatic, sad day," Kim said.

The dog warden was called to catch the three dogs but Kim said he had no luck on Saturday.

Norfolk Police confirmed they attended Wisbech Road following the discovery of a male's body but they are not treating the death as suspicious and the matter has been passed to the coroner. A post mortem was due to be carried out this week.
