WISBECH: Faith and business

A conference with the theme of “Faith and the Market. No entry or open for Business” takes place at Wisbech Boathouse on November 22 from 9.30am to 1pm

It follows the successful event held during National Interfaith Week in 2010 and will mark Wisbech’s contribution to the current week which runs from November 17-25.

The conference will be opened by Wisbech Mayor Viv MacRae. With the assistance of Alan Melton, Leader of Fenland District Council and local entrepreneurs, the conference will explore the relationship between faith and business. Also speaking will be Quaker Starr Farr who will talk about the Peckover family who managed to combine a successful business enterprise with an outstanding contribution to the life and vitality of the town.

It is hoped that besides people of faith attending, there will be a small delegation of students from Thomas Clarkson Academy. The conference is by invitation but there is still room for more.
