The Mick Pini Band is playing at Elme Hall Sunday Rock and Blues Club in Wisbech on Sunday.
Mick (pictured) started playing guitar as a young boy back in 1960.

Since then he's paid his dues in pubs, clubs, festivals, concert halls even busking on the streets.

Over a lifetime he's worked with Doctor Ross, Professor Longhair, Louisana Red, BB King and more.

Currently based in Germany, Mick has more recently worked with Roy Estrada (Little Feat) and Jimmy Carl Black (Frank Zappa).

Doors open at 3.30pm. The band's first set is at around 4pm.

- The Friends of March Library will hold their annual meeting on Friday in the library 2pm to 4pm. Members and new members are welcome. Social time will follow and admission is free. The Friends of March have a coffee morning on Saturday in the library at 10am to noon. All are welcome.

- Wisbech Music Society concert season sees the return of talented pianist Robert Scamardella. The concert is in the Russell Hall at Wisbech Grammar School on Thursday, November 5 at 7.30pm. Robert will play music by Chopin and Liszt and perform a piece written especially for him by Stephanie Cant. For further details contact Roger Powell on 01945-585073.

- Little horrors are invited to the Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech for its annual Halloween event. Youngsters can come along to the centre's information point at the bus station, collect a creepy map, their first treat and a goodie bag to collect their treats in. The map will direct them to 21 shops that will be waiting to be Trick or Treated. The event is free for children under 15, who must be accompanied by an adult and dressed in a Halloween themed costume. Prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed boy and girl, the judging panel will consist of; the Mayor of Wisbech and the proprietor of the FX Fancy Dress Warehouse, judging will take place at 4pm outside Somerfield.

Youngsters will have an opportunity to have a 6x4 portrait photo taken by Kodak staff for a small charge, in their Halloween costume. There will be some live action with CJ's Birds of Prey, who will be bringing along 'Talisker' a European Eagle Owl and Saki a Brown Asian Wood Owl. Plus youngsters can enjoy a free fairground ride and be wowed by the world famous Sonic Manipulator who will be performing his music and light show. The event will run from 3pm – 5pm on Saturday.

- A quiz night to raise funds for the Terrington St John Hall Committee is taking place on October 30. The quiz is at Jubilee Hall in Marshland St James, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance is £2.50 per person, with teams up to six people.

- Three bingo evenings have been set up to raise money for repairs to St Mark's Church in Parson Drove following a recent break-in. The evenings have been organised by Maxine Staines and friends and will take place at Tower Hall, Friday Bridge. The dates are November 2, December 7 and February 1. Doors open at 6.30pm and eyes down at 7pm. Books cost 40p each. If you have a prize donation, contact Maxine on 07771-765998.

- East Anglian Soul Weekend presents the official warm-up party of Classic Soul Memories, Motown and Northern at March Braza Club. It's time to turn the clocks back to the classic hits on November 6 at 8pm with weekender DJs Andy 'Smudge' Smith, John Bradley, Jamie Trundle and guests. Advanced tickets cost £6 from Lakers Gym and the Music Box in Wisbech, Larry's Heel Bar in Whittlesey and the Braza Club. Postal

A donation will be made to a local charity. Future events to look out for at the Braza Club: December 4 Gold Radio Xmas Party night with Pete Revell and December 28 Soul 'n' Motown Xmas Bash with the ever popular Martin Topley.

- Today sees the latest fundraising event at Upwell Village Hall when eel catcher Peter Carter will give a talk. Admission is £3 which includes tea, coffee and biscuits and the event starts at 7pm.

The Annual Christmas Craft Fair will be held on Sunday November 1 when 26 stalls including crafters. There will be a Christmas raffle, mince pies and refreshments. Doors open at 10am and admission is 50p.

Nigel and Liz Carter together with Ros and Malcolm Shorting are busy organising another Christmas Dance/Upwell Christmas Charity - in aid of the Wisbech Paramedics Equipment Fund. It will be held at the village hall on Saturday December 5 from 8pm - midnight. The evening will include a chicken and chip supper, music will be provided by local band 'Sounds Familiar' - tickets priced at £12 can be obtained from Ros on 01945-773604 or Nigel on 01945-773331.

- In a colourful adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, RATz are performing HONK! Hatched late, bigger than the rest and gruesome by comparison, 'Ugly' was chastised by his cute siblings, shunned by his father and mocked by the rest of the birds in the farm. Only his mother Ida accepted he was different and loved him for what he was. His only friend was the Cat – or so Ugly thought. The Cat had only one thing on his mind – lunch! Adventure, escape, more adventure ensue until eventually Ugly transforms. Whether you know the story of the Ugly Duckling or not, it's still worth going along to see HONK! at the Angles Theatre in Wisbech and watching the inter pretation by writer Anthony Drewe and composer George Stiles. Performances are on Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4, Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November. Tickets from £8.50.
