A HUGE number of activities are being organised by Wisbech Museum for the upcoming school summer holiday.
n The Meet the Romans event will allow children the opportunity to look at and handle some real ancient Roman artefacts, try on replica Roman costumes and make a Roman mosaic to take home.
It will take place at Murrow Village Hall, Thursday, July
31, 2pm to 3.30pm; Guyhirn Village Hall, Friday, August 15, 2pm to 3.30pm; Elm Centre, Tuesday, August 19, 10.30am to 12.30pm, Friday Bridge (Tower Hall, Maltmas Drove), Tuesday, August 19, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Christchurch Community Buildings (Crown Road), Wednesday, August 20, 10.30am to 12.30pm. There is no need to book.
n Summer Seaside Fun: Play with some seaside toys and make your own puppets!

n Toys in the Past: Play with the toys that children used to own in Victorian Times and make some of your own to take home. Murrow Village Hall, Monday, August 18, 2pm to 3.30pm. No need to book.
n Saxon Life: Learn about the Saxons, make friendship bracelets and make your own Sutton Hoo Mask to take home.
Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Wednesday, August 13, 10am to noon – booking needed.
n The Gladiators: Make a gladiator helmet and decorative Roman jewellery.

n Fenland characters; the poacher, the eel catcher and the local: make your own face impressions. The Hudson Sports Leisure Centre, Thursday, August 21, 10am to 4pm. No need to book.
n Mythical Creatures lurking in the Fens: make your own set of Fenland beasties. Horsefair Bus Station, Friday, August 22, 10am to 2pm. No need to book.
All the above are family/children events. Admission is free but all children need to be accompanied by an adult.
