UPWELL Playing Field Committee holds its second annual Summer Village Fayre on Sunday August 9 starting at 11.30am with the official opening at noon, hopefully by the mayor of West Norfolk.
The group needs to raise funds for a new sports pavilion and the upkeep of the playing field.
There are plans for a new building which have been approved and what is needed is around £300,000 for the project.
The summer fayre is one of the committee’s main fundraising events.
Last year’s event was a success and the organisers want to make this year even better.
Attractions will include a vintage vehicle display and parade, car boot sale and stalls selling a range of items from organic vegetables to jewellery.
There will also be refreshments, a hog roast, children’s rides, bouncy castle, competitions and a raptor display plus a whole lot more.
Anyone who wants a stall, or to book a car boot or bring their vintage vehicle to the fayre should contact 07944-405448.
There will also be another playing field Football Tournament on the Saturday and support for this is also welcome.
