ARE you a keen photographer? A new exhibition launched as part of the Wisbech Photography Festival offers the chance to have your work seen by the public and form part of an historic collection at Octavia Hill's Birthplace House.
The ‘Snapshot 2009’ exhibition is a chance to show people what life is like in Wisbech and the surrounding areas.

Family life, rural life, architectural detail, shopping, landscapes, where you live, work, play or go to school… whatever you think m
akes a great picture.

Work chosen will be displayed from May 23 to June 16 at the Kodak One Stop Photo Shop in Wisbech Horse Fair.

The winning picture will be chosen by the team at Kodak One Stop Shop and the winner will receive their photograph enlarged to A4 and professionally framed, plus a years’ membership of Total Image Nation, the online showcase and network for photographers, and the chance to exhibit at Atelier East’s Summer Exhibition.

To submit your pictures email them to photos@atelier-east.co.uk or drop your prints into the Wisbech Tourist Information Centre or the Kodak One Stop Photo Shop.

Pictures must be printed to 6x4 inches and unframed.The deadline for entries is May 20 at noon.

Please include your name, address, telephone number and title of the picture on the back or include all this information in the email.

If you are under 18 you will need the permission of your parent/guardian. Pictures are not returnable.

There will be lots of photographic activities going on from May 22 to 25 in and around Wisbech including exhibitions, workshops and community events. More information is available at www.atelier-east.co.uk
