THE curtain goes up on the comedy play "Beyond A Joke" on May 13 with Anglian Players.
The play was first performed in 1979 and tells the story of an accident-prone couple trying to conceal the body of both a TV repair man and a local vicar, pending the arrival of their daughter’s future in-laws.
This is made worse by the daughter’s boyfriend, who is convinced the deaths have a more sinister side.
It culminates with the in-laws leaving with the body of the vicar in the boot of their car.
Directed by Mike Thomas, this farce is guaranteed laughter and entertainment.
Performances are at March Youth and Community Centre in Station Road from May 13-16 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are from Sandra’s in Station Road, or at the door priced £6 (£5 concessions).
