Superman raising cash for children's cancer charity

MARATHON runner Peter West, of Murrow, is holding a fundraising disco/karaoke and charity auction night in support of his charity.
Peter took part in April’s Flora London Marathon dressed as Superman and is aiming to raise £1,800 for CLIC Sargent children’s cancer charity.

He is holding the social evening on May 31 at 7pm at Whitemoor Prison Social Club, Longhill Road, March.

Up for bids will be: a football signed by Norwich City FC, two tickets for a Peterborough Utd home fixture, a voucher for "Beauty for All", a meal for four voucher including drinks at the Imperial Bento Chinese restaurant, a meal for two at the Kashmir Balti House and an evening at Peterborough dog racing for four people.

There will be a cash prize for the karaoke winner and other cash prizes to be won throughout the evening.

Tickets cost £5 in advance from Open Chest in March High Street or Peter on 07872-309661 or £6 on the door.

Peter is a member of March AC. This was his first marathon and he ran in memory of his father Roger, who died of cancer a year ago.
