Bees: Damage goes far deeper
One sympathises with Chris Brookes concerning his damaged hives and loss of bees (Citizen, March edition, April 9).
But a greater loss will be to those living within one-and-a-half miles of Badgeney End Farm at March who have top fruit on their properties.
Honey bees are the chief pollenators of plums, pears, apples, raspberries and currants.
We should all be grateful that there are beekeepers like Chris Brookes who use their skill and diligence to endeavour to sustain the dwindling Honey Bee population.
