INTERESTING reading in the latest Construction News, a research by the Chartered Institute of Building shows what a major contribution foreign labour makes to the civil and construction industry.
They are concerned about headlines all about immigration but not newspapers ranting about swan-eating immigrants, or complaining about draining NHS resources. The story came from research by the Institute for Public Policy claiming that at least half of those who came to the UK from states that joined the EU have returned home.

Apparently the return home of the immigrants is worrying the construction industry, the retail and leisure industry, the NHS and agricultural industries.

So all you xenophobes out there who say "good riddance", think again.
I shall be supporting the Poles in the football European Championships as we haven't got a representative.

For more info on the research go to www.ciob.org.uk
