I WOULD draw your attention to the Government petition to retain the Wisbech to March branch railway line, that I added to my website www.bramleyline.com in order to obtain a wider audience.
Currently it contains 111 signatures, the Heritage petition has 79. Add them together and you get 190.

Not everyone has access to a computer. But talk to the people of Wisbech and you find there is a great deal of support for the railway to be retained as a commuter service.

I have in mind a section of ground closer into Wisbech for a station, other than the one suggested by the Heritage group.

As the owner of a senior rail pass, I and many others have to travel into Peterborough to use it, even travelling to Cambridge due to the poor bus services to March. It's time to sit down and look to the future.

OWEN D. SMITHERS,
address supplied.
