The members of Chatteris Rotary Club thank all those residents of Chatteris who contributed to the evening collections when the 'Father Christmas' float toured Chatteris and those shoppers who donated at the Co-op store, Bridge Street on Christmas Eve.
The 2009 total collected amounts to just over £3,850. It is the highest total ever, and is remarkable given the economic climate that prevails.
Such generosity to charitable causes, the majority of which will be local, is very satisfying.
This measure of response compensates us Rotarians for our efforts on those cold, wet evenings, and we remain indebted for your continuing annual support.
