I WOULD like to set a challenge for the Highways Agency. Would they like to sit and watch how many drivers overtake at the junction of Broadend Road and the A47.
They overtake at speed on the white lines (which mean no overtaking).

What have the highways department done to improve the road? Do they mean the line markings at the top of the junction which they have moved further back?

I think they have made it even more difficult to see because they are in line with the bollard.

We all know the junction is there. What we need is a big sign, saying no overtaking at this junction. Perhaps a speed camera as well, it would soon pay for itself. Also slow down signs.

You are the experts – come up with something. We need to stop these accidents happening.

I am forwarding this letter to Mr Ranjit Mistry, of Norfolk Highways. And I would like to go to a meeting with him.

MRS J. HARNWELL,
Burrettgate Road,
Walsoken.
