The line up for the Big Gig being organised on March Market Place from 2pm on Sunday July 14 by 20TwentyProductions has been confirmed.
Local performers include, Misty Jones, Radiowave, March and District Operatic Society (MADAOS), Wild Honey, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and 20TwentyProductions’ own Youth Theatre. All performances will be spread out throughout the day and the event will finish with an actual Big Gig.
The first workshop for the day will start at 2.15pm and it will be Toddler Rhyme Time with Ormiston. This will give you and your toddler a chance to have a go with instruments and have a sing-along to nursery rhymes.
DJ Stephen Calver will be running a two-hour workshop from 3.15pm, taking everyone through the set up for DJ equipment, learn to mix tracks and use the specialist equipment.
There will be numerous musical theatre workshops throughout the day. Award-winning MADAOS will lead a workshop for adults at 2.45pm, while 20TwentyProductions will lead a Youth Theatre workshop at 4pm and a musical theatre workshop for adults with a learning disability at 5.15pm.
Misty Jones will also be leading a basic guitar lesson, teaching basic 4 chords and the approaches to writing songs. This workshop is a must for amateur guitar players, songwriters and also anyone thinking of taking up playing the guitar.
