On May 29, Chatteris author and artist, Richard Savage celebrated the publication of his first non-fiction book, Beauty in Every Form, with a book launch event in the Skoulding Suite at March Town Hall.
“The event was a great success,” said Richard. “The attendance was great, yet even with the numbers there it felt a very relaxed evening, a night where we could chat about the subject of beauty.”
The guests were all treated to a champagne and strawberries reception during the evening. Many of the book’s contributors were in attendance, some local but also from further afield including London.
Featuring contributions from 60 contributors, Beauty in Every Form has a wide variety of viewpoints on the subject of beauty and positive body image. Copies of the book are available from Richard’s Chatteris studio, on South Park Street, or online from a number of shops including Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
To hear more about the book, listen out for Richard on Sue Dougan in the Afternoon on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on Wednesday, 12th June.
Richard’s next exhibition of his artwork, prints and books will be at his Chatteris studio on South Park Street on 14th – 16th June. The evening preview, with cheese and wine, is from 7pm on Friday 14th June and the exhibition is open from 11am til 3pm over the weekend. For more details, contact Richard on 01354 696421.
