June 8 marks the 51st Gorefield Show at the Wolf Lane playing field and this will be the first event to use the new pavilion which will house refreshments and a licensed bar.
The show starts at 8am with the ponies, (a qualifier for BSPS and PUK). The heavy horses will be in the main ring from 9.30am. Other attractions include a falconry display, new for the children are battery-operated cars on a supervised track, there is a bouncy castle, fairground rides, athletic competitions with cash prizes. The main ring hosts a parade of classic and vintage cars, tractors and carriage driving, fancy dress (theme of Super Heroes) and novelty dog classes. There will be side shows and stalls.
Admission: £3 adults, £2 children and OAPs, car on the show field £7 (not including occupants). There is a free car park opposite the showground.
