EASTER is one of the most significant dates on our calendar.

Around 80 million Easter eggs are sold annually in the UK – and latest figures show we will spend at least £280 million on them in four days in the build-up to Easter Sunday.

The weekend from April 22-25 will also be a popular time for family gatherings and celebratory meals.

And if you’re planning a family celebration to mark Easter, your local Anglia Co-operative foodstores can help make it a memorable occasion.

Whether you’re having a traditional roast lamb lunch – or there’s something else on the menu for your household – the stores in Elm Road, Wisbech, and Badgeney Road, March, can provide all of the ingredients; and watch out for some delicious deals, too.

And you can make your money go even further by becoming an Anglia Co-operative Member and receive a Membership dividend on your purchases.

We’ve teamed up with the Anglia Co-operative foodstores at Wisbech and March to give one reader a really special Easter by winning £150 worth of vouchers to spend at their local store.

And you’re still on a winner - even if you aren’t lucky in the competition.

Use the special coupon on the special front cover of this week’s Citizen to get £6 off when you spend £40 on your next weekly shop.

To stand a chance of winning our great competition, all you have to do is answer the following question: What animal is traditionally associated with bringing Easter eggs?

Put your answer on the back of a sealed envelope or postcard, along with your name, address and a daytime telephone number, and send it - marked CO-OP EASTER COMPETITION - to the Citizen at 11 Union Street, Wisbech or 26 Market Place, March.

Entries can also be emailed to competitions@fenlandcitizen.co.uk

Closing date is 10am on Tuesday, March 29.
