Sounds of the Eighties from the renowned Here And Now music acts will launch the 28th season of Adnams Newmarket Nights on The July Course on Friday, June 20.

Music icons T’Pau, Bananarama and The Real Thing will be joined by Curiosity Killed the Cat and Kid Creole and The Coconuts at Newmarket Racecourses to wow the crowds with their hits of yesteryear.

Audiences will revel in nostalgia as the stars of the 80s come together for a ‘must see’ pop party at one of the most picturesque racecourses in the world.

Smash hits likely to thrill the crowds include ‘China In Your Hand’ (T’Pau), ‘Love In The First Degree’ (Bananarama), ‘You to Me Are Everything’ (The Real Thing), ‘Annie, I’m Not Your Daddy’ (Kid Creole and The Coconuts) and ‘Down To Earth’ (Curiosity Killed The Cat).

The performers join artists such as Tom Jones, James Blunt, The Beach Boys and Wet Wet Wet for the summer season of Adnams Newmarket Nights which attract over 100,000 visitors to the Home of Racing every year.

Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “Some of the most famous artists and bands of all time have played at Adnams Newmarket Nights. Now in their 28th year, we are delighted to be welcoming some of the most famous music performers of the Eighties to The July Course.

“As always, there will be a great evening of horse racing followed by music nostalgia. The Here And Now music nights are really well received across the country and I’m sure they will receive a big welcome at Newmarket Racecourses on 20th June. We’re expecting plenty of interest in tickets, so all racing and music fans are urged to book their places as soon as they can.”

To date, five of the Adnams Newmarket Nights acts of 2014 have been announced. As well as the bands from Here And Now on 20 June, James Blunt will perform on 27 June, The Beach Boys on 18 July and Tom Jones on 1 August, while Wet Wet Wet will bring down the curtain on the seven-night concert series on Friday 15 August. The remaining two bands and artists for dates on 25 July and 8 August on The July Course will be revealed in coming weeks.

Tickets for the Here And Now concert on The July Course are on sale at Newmarket Racecourses, online at www.newmarketracecourses.co.uk or by telephone on 0844 579 3010: £29 (Premier Enclosure), £21 (Grandstand & Paddock) and £15 (Family Enclosure). Tickets for children aged 5-17 are priced for the three enclosures at £18, £17 and £12 respectively. Children’s tickets are limited and must be purchased in conjunction with adult tickets. Once the reduced price child ticket allocation has been reached, adult prices apply. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. There are no reserved seats. Parking is free.
