A SECOND possible sighting of Fenland's big cat was reported this week with husband and wife Martin and Teresa Dye coming forward to say they saw the animal in Tydd Gote.
The Dye's sighting came less than a week after security guard Richard Rutterford reported seeing the animal as he travelled to work from Tydd Gote to Guyhirn.

He saw the panther-like creature when it ran out in front of him as he drove along Harec
roft Road, Wisbech near the rugby club at around 5.40am on Wednesday November 18.

The Dyes say they saw it on the A1101 between Four Gotes and Tydd Gote on Monday November 23 at around 8pm.

They saw the large-cat like animal as it ran across the road and into the front garden of a house along the main road.

Teresa said: "We both remarked on how odd it was, it looked black with a long tail and moved like a cat. At first we thought it was a dog of some sort, but the way it moved was definitely more like a cat."

This is just the latest in a long line of reported sightings of a black panther-type animal in Fenland this year.

There were numerous other sightings earlier in the year around the Friday Bridge, Elm and Outwell areas with a large cat even being possibly blamed for mauling to death a pregnant ewe at the Woodhouse Farm Park at Friday Bridge.
