HAVE you got space in your life for a furry little friend?
The Chatteris, St Ives and District Branch of Cats Protection has many cats looking for new homes.

The following animals are available now for rehoming:

Murdoch is a 14-year-old ginger and white long haired male. He is a friendly loving cat who would ideally suit a middle aged to elderly couple for a quiet retirement. His only ambition in life is to soak up the sun at every opportunity.

Delilah is an eight-year-old black and grey short haired female who is very friendly and full of life. She is good with kids so would make an ideal family cat. Would appreciate a big garden to potter about in.

Izzy is a short haired, five-year-old grey and white female. She is very friendly but does not get on with dogs. A good family cat who would appreciate a loving home to spend her life in.

Sooty is a large black and brown eight-year-old male. He loves to be out in the garden, in the sunshine. No kids or other animals as he is very timid, but given the opportunity and a bit of love and attention would be ideal for a middle aged or elderly couple.

Verity is a two-year-old tortoiseshell female who loves people and children but isn't so keen on other cats. She is very playful and would fit in well with a family who have older children and are looking for a cat with character.

All the cats' photos can be viewed in the slideshow (right).

Some of the cats arrive at the branch as strays, others are unwanted or simply abandoned. Some cats come from loving homes that, due to circumstances, are unable to care for them any longer.

When an adult cat comes in, it is neutered and treated for fleas and worms.

The welfare of cats is top priority and the branch always visits prospective owners first to make sure of the best possible home.

It is the Cats Protection League's policy never to put a healthy animal down and it welcomes any donation from new owners.

If you can offer a home to any of the cats or want to volunteer to help the branch contact 01480-465225.
