DRIVERS are once again being urged to be responsible when parking in Wisbech town centre.
This morning (Thursday), a lorry delivering to the Conservative Club was trapped in the pedestrianised area of Hill Street for over an hour, unable to make the sharp bend round onto Union Street because of a car parked in front of John Jordan Estate Agents.
Local PCSOs said parking down Hill Street, Union Street, High Street and around the Market Place was an ongoing problem.
They pointed out that the top of Hill Street was clearly marked as a pedestrian zone with access only for permit holders, disabled drivers and for loading.
Non-disabled drivers parking on the street can be ticketed and disabled drivers can receive tickets if they are deemed to be causing an obstruction.
