A WISBECH woman has dared to go bare for the Haiti earthquake appeal having her head shaved to raise money.
A nervous Heidi Wheeler (36) went to The Barber Shoppe in Wisbech Market Place on Thursday to have her hair shaved off, accompanied by a group of supporters.

"Every time I saw the news, I was crying. I just wanted to do something.," said Heidi, who was anxious to see her ten year-old son, Logan's reaction.

It didn't take stylist Alison Day long to give Heidi her 'bald' new look.

A Grade 0 all over and five minutes later, Heidi's hair was on the floor and Alison was brushing her off.

"I feel proud to have done it. It will save me money on hair spray!" Heidi said.

Heidi had already collected around £170 in sponsorship when she had her head shaved and was expecting to get more once people saw she had gone ahead with it.
