THERE is joy for motorists today as Lynn Road in Wisbech reopens following two weeks of traffic chaos.
The road was closed after a section of it mysteriously collapsed.
A hole was discovered that stretched around nine metres under the road and around five metres deep by around four metres wide.
Cambridgeshire County Council worked closely with Anglian Water to excavate the hole and find the cause of the problem.
It took around 250 tonnes of material to fill it and a traffic island also had to be rebuilt.
