AN INVESTIGATION has swung into action after a man suffered serious injuries when he became trapped beneath a car at a March business.
The man was rushed to hospital following the accident on Thursday at Singh Skips, on Hostmoor Avenue, at around 2.40pm.

On Friday the man was said to have regained consciousness and was talking to his family at his bedside.

On Thursday emergency services, including the East Anglian Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene to help the victim, who was unconscious but breathing.

Fire crews from March and the rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe were called to site, also known as The Lion House, and they arrived to discover the man trapped under a car.

The crews used specialist equipment to lift the car to release the man.

He was stabilised by medics and freed from the car at about 3.20pm, before being taken by ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, with a police escort.

Police and the Health and Safety Executive were also at the scene and have begun a joint investigation into how the incident happened.
