WHILE many young people are criticised for their behaviour, a Leverington Common woman has praised a group of teenagers for their concern.
Elizabeth Davies was sitting against a tree in Wisbech Park on Wednesday after having a plaster cast taken off a broken leg. The group saw her sitting down and asked if she was all right.

Mrs Davies said: “They were very concerned and said ‘Shall we call an ambulance?’ and they inquired ‘will you be able to get up?’. It made my day.

“I don’t know what school they came from, they were obviously on their way home, but they are a credit to their families and school. God bless them all.”

n Another reader has praised a man who found her wallet and waited for 45 minutes for her to return.

The Leverington woman was in Wisbech Market Place on Wednesday when she lost her wallet.

She didn’t realise until some time later and when she went back to her car, the man was waiting.

“In this day and age it’s lovely to see that someone was honest enough to pick up my wallet and not only not steal from it, but wait around for me to come back.

“I would just like to thank him very much for his honesty and hope that more people can follow his example,” said the reader.
