MARCH teenager Bartholomew King had a date with Royalty recently when they travelled to London for a special presentation.
Bartholomew was among a group of young people from all over the country who visited St James' Palace to receive their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award from Prince Philip - patron of the D of E scheme.
Well-known TV presenter Ben Fogle was also present to help with the handing out of certificates.
To achieve his Gold Award Bartholomew had to successfully complete a number of challenges including volunteering, carrying out expeditions and physical endurance.
Bartholomew is the son of Philip and Sue King of Fairfax Way.
