LOTTERY money has been secured for a new Home-Start South Holland service which will help families in the Sutton Bridge area.
The service offers home visiting support to families with at least one child under the age of five. It is a non-judgmental and confidential service offering practical and emotional support.

Volunteers, who have parenting experience themselves, give their time for listening and talking, helping with the children and the service gives parents a chance to meet others.

Recently appointed co-ordinator is Mary Hutson, who previously managed Home-Start Wisbech. She will be joined by Gail Cooper as administrator.

The first preparation course for volunteers in South Holland starts this month and further courses are planned. The new scheme is eager to hear from anyone interested in volunteering or wishing to become involved in other areas of the scheme – such as fundraising or joining the management board.

Also, if you are a parent and feel the scheme could support you contact 01406-701720 or e-mail – info@home-startsouthholland.org.uk
