A LOCAL band has won prizes in an national unsigned bands competition.
Although Fuel for the Fire missed out on the grand prize at the final of UK Live and Unsigned, they won the MUZU exposure award.
The prize is an exclusive all expenses paid trip to Dublin to make a music video, a support slot in a leading Dublin music venue and documentary video of the trip. They also won a £900 amp in another category.
Lead singer Steven Chapman (24), from Chatteris, said: "We were over the moon."
The band is made up of lead guitarist Martyn Hilliam (24) from Whittlesey, bass player Simon Dunkling (24) from Whittlesey, keyboard player Matt Locke (24) from Whittlesey, and Glasgow-born Ross Craib (21) from Chatteris.
The band is experiencing a run of success at the moment, winning another music video in a different competition.
They have a few gigs lined up over the coming weeks, including an appearance at Skylark.
