THE sun shone down on Wisbech St Mary on Sunday for the annual Village and Country Fayre.
Dave Parrin said: “It was a fantastic day with a fantastic crowd. Numbers were slightly down but that could have been due to the heat. People were leaving early because it was so hot.”

Visitors enjoyed a host of displays and shows, including dog agility, sheep races, police dog display and a falconry display.

There was plenty for the children to do with lots of fair attractions and games.

History fans were well catered for, with displays of antique farm machinery, bicycles and an impressive collection of classic cars which was shown in a display in the main ring.

Compere Johnny Dee from BBC Radio Cambridgeshire went down well, providing entertainment throughout the day.

Crowds also enjoyed aerobatic air displays by a Yak 52 in the morning and afternoon.
