TRICK OR TREAT ENDS IN TRAGEDY

VERDICTS of accidental death have been recorded at inquests into the deaths of a young mother and her daughter, who died while going out trick or treating on Halloween.
Stephanie Ward (24) and her four-year-old daughter Samantha Ford died following an accident on October 31 just yards from their Leverington Common home.

At the time, the 18 year-old driver of a Peugeot car involved, Matthew Plumb, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Cambs police have confirmed no criminal action is being taken against him.

Stephanie and Samantha were out with a 37 year-old friend and her nine year-old daughter, who was riding a horse, when the accident happened in the dark just before 6pm.

The friends were also injured and the horse died in the accident.
