A FULL two-year anti-social behaviour order has been imposed on a Wisbech teenager in a bid to protect the public from her behaviour.
Elizabeth Manning (18), of 43 Southwell Road, is now effectively the subject of a night time curfew after being prohibited from being in the centre of the town, including the park area, between 10pm and 6am.

The order was granted at Fenland Magistrates on Tuesday following an application by Cambridgeshire Police.

Andrew Logan, on behalf of the police force, said Manning, who had consented to the order, had regularly engaged in behaviour "likely to cause harrassment, alarm or distress".

Mr Logan told the court the order was applied "to protect the public from her further actions".

Under the terms of the order, Manning is prohibited from congregating in a group of three or more people, including herself, in any public place in Fenland.

Manning is also prohibited from engaging in contact which is likely to cause harrassment, alarm or distress, or behaviour which is likley to be threatening, abusive or insulting to others.

She must also not drink in a public place, be found drunk or under the influence of prohibited substances in a public place.

Magistrates agreed the terms of the order, which will expire on August 19, 2010.

Speaking after the court case, Sgt Dave Bax said: "This ASBO is designed to stop the persistent anti-social and nuisance behaviour of Elizabeth Manning. We have received a large number of calls from the public about her drunken behaviour.

"She has caused police and the community no end of work and the conditions are very specific.

"This should also serve as a warning to any others who conduct themselves in such a manner - ASBOs will be sought."
