A TWENTY-eight-year-old Sutton Bridge woman admitted causing the death by dangerous driving of a Fenland pensioner.
Monica Dasilva, of 8 Anne Road, appeared at Norwich Crown Court in a wheelchair today (Wednesday) and admitted causing the death of 70-year-old Ethel Winterbottom, of Tydd St Mary, on March 1 on the A17 at Clenchwarton.

She admitted the offence through a Portuguese interpreter.

She was given conditional bail and is due to be sentenced on November 7 when a pre-sentence report will be available.

Judge Simon Barham told Dasilva: "The fact you are given bail today gives no indication of the likely sentence. All options remain open to the sentencing Judge including custody."
