Having a disability need not rule out holidays for you – abroad and in the UK.
We work with a company called Enable Holidays who have built up a solid reputation for providing accessible holidays.
You’ll be asked some key questions based on the needs of the disabled traveller/s in your party.
Enable Holidays have selected accessible holidays for disabled people with a varying range of conditions, including arthritis, osteoarthritis, spinal injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke and limb amputation.
The majority of holidays are chosen with wheelchair-users in mind, but they also cater for slow walkers, wobbly walkers and older people with limited mobility.
Enable Holidays also understand the requirements of families with children who have special needs.
This will include assistance at the airport and on the airline, plus the provision of an adapted room with accessible toilet, wheel-in shower and other disabled facilities – but could very well include additional requirements such as the hire of special mobility equipment, oxygen and specialist medical assistance, or even a professional carer.
They now offer more disabled holidays abroad than ever before. Destinations include Jersey, France, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Gibraltar, Spain, Balearic Islands (Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza), Canary Islands (Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria), Portugal, Madeira, Greece and her islands (Corfu and Crete), Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Egypt, India and Florida.
In addition to the overseas destinations above, they will soon be offering a selection of wheelchair accessible holidays in a varied range of properties and locations throughout the UK.
You can choose from a range of accessible beach holidays, city breaks and cultural tours. All holidays are tailor-made to meet specific requirements.
