The Fenland branch of the Aden Veteran’s Association held their annual reunion dinner at the Oliver Cromwell Hotel in March on Saturday.
The dinner has been held yearly since the branch was set up in 2001 and is a chance for veterans and their families to catch up. They also enjoy a Christmas meal annually at Thorney Golf Club.
This year, Chelsea Pensioner Dougie May attended in full uniform. He fought in Aden, Yemen, between 1964 and 1966 as a soldier in the Royal Anglian Regiment 1st Battalion. Mr May lived in March before moving to the Royal Chelsea Hospital in March 2013.
