Heavy rain did not stop members of Wisbech Town Council from enjoying all the fun of the fair.
Councillors went along to the opening of the Wisbech Statute Fair on Wednesday. Rides covered the Chapel Road and Somers Road car parks during the annual three-day event. A number of stalls were also set up on the Chapel Road site. Thrill-seeking members of the council were seen climbing onto the fair rides in their official robes. Deputy mayor, Garry Tibbs, is pictured above trying out one of the rides. The March Statute Fair will be opening in the town’s City Road car park today and runs until Saturday evening.
