The CCVS is also organising two briefings for voluntary organisations on Tuesday (September 18) on the new Police and Crime Commissioners and their role.
They will give the latest news about November’s elections for the new Commissioners, and give groups an opportunity to discuss how the voluntary sector can influence this new role.
The briefings are being held at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House, 7 South Brink, Wisbech (10.30am-noon) and at March Community Centre, 34 Station Road (2-3.30pm). A speaker from the Police Authority will be attending.
Groups will be asked to identity the police and crime priorities for their area. These will then be fed into the draft set of objectives that is being formulated and will be presented to the incoming Commissioner.
Places at the briefings are limited. To book one, call CCVS on 01223-464696 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
