A Murrow man is doing a parachute jump to raise money for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation in his nephew’s name.
Andy Cunningham (22) was inspired to do the jump by his four-year-old nephew Benjamin Edwards who has liver condition alpha-1 antitrypsin difficiency (A1AD).
Benjamin’s condition means his liver does not produce a particular protein and an enzyme produced by his lungs can attack healthy lung tissues.
The pre-schooler suffers with chest complaints and his condition could mean he develops a chronic lung complaint in later life. He may even need a liver transplant one day.
Builder Andy will be doing his jump on Bank Holiday Monday, subject to weather conditions, at North London Parachute Centre in Wimblington.
