Animal rescues aided by kit donation

New equipment has been donated to Cambridgeshire firefighters to help with animal rescues throughout the county.

The Service has teamed up with Redwings Horse Sanctuary to provide the specialist equipment for vets on the scene of emergencies.

On board each of the Service’s three rescue vehicles is a new animal rescue pack called a Vet Personal Protective Equipment bag. It contains a specially designed ‘jab stick’ to enable a vet to safely inject an animal from a distance, reducing the risk of danger for vets and firefighters.
