Anti-bullying week was hailed a success in Wisbech with the screening of a new film challenging sterotypes and bullying behaviour.
A total of 280 children and their teachers from local primary schools watched the film, FREE, at The Light Cinema.
The film was made specifically for children aged seven to 11 by internationally-acclaimed director Rikki Beadle-Blair in partnership with the charity Stonewall. It follows the stories of four children and explores issues such as friendship, different family compositions and the importance of being yourself.
The director ran a question and answer session with the children at the event and headteachers requested copies of the film for follow-up workshops and staff training.
