A group of tattooists raffling off their inking skills raised £1,000 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

The artists from New Image Tattoo Studio in Wisbech offered days of tattooing as prizes in a raffle to celebrate the business’ tenth anniversary.

A party was held at Elme Hall Hotel, where the raffle took place, and the majority of the money was raised there. Money also came through a donation pot in store.

Shop manager Kat Dennick said: “We had hoped to raise £1,000 but we were so happy we managed it. After the party we were just £50 short of the total, so we put a message on Facebook and people came in and bumped it up to £1,000. It’s nice to give something back.”

She added now they realised how possible it was to raise such a great amount of money, they are planning a Halloween party to raise cash for a different local charity.
