The Beach Boys, one of the most critically acclaimed and successful bands of all time, are to make their Adnams Newmarket Nights debut this summer on The July Course.
Currently on an American tour, the group who have sold in excess of 100 million records worldwide over the last half century will play at Newmarket Racecourses on Friday 18th July.
For the first time, The July Course will rock to the sounds of some of the band’s best-loved and classic hits such as ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘Help Me, Rhonda’ and ‘California Girls’.
The Beach Boys are joining artists such as Tom Jones, James Blunt and Wet Wet Wet for this summer’s Adnams Newmarket Nights which attract over 100,000 visitors to the Home of Racing every year.
The Beach Boys touring band is led by original member Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who joined in 1965, alongside supporting musicians John Cowsill, Tim Bonhomme, Randell Kirsch, Scott Totten and Christian Love.
Last summer, the group released ‘Made In California’, a six-disc collection featuring more than seven and a half hours of music.
Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “Some of the most famous artists and bands of all time have played at Adnams Newmarket Nights. Now in their 28th year, we are thrilled to be welcoming one of the greatest groups – The Beach Boys – to The July Course. We’re anticipating a surge of interest in their concert on Friday 18th July, so racing and music fans alike are recommended to book their places as soon as they can.”
