Samantha Clark, of Newton, recently held a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and raised £300. Lesley held the Tea Party in Newton on July 11 and was greatly supported by everyone in the village.

Thanks to the Marie Curie Nursing Service, terminally ill patients in Newton and the surrounding area are able to receive free of charge end of life nursing care in the comfort of their own home.

Hannah Steele, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie in Cambridge said: “Thank you to Samantha for holding a Blooming Great Tea Party in Newton. All the funds raised from her Blooming Great Tea Party will fund 15 hours of Marie Curie nursing care in the local area to provide high quality nursing care and support to patients and their families.”

Marie Curie Cancer Care would like to thank everyone, who has supported the charity’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign this summer. So far over 60 tea parties have been held throughout Cambridgeshire to help raise vital funds for the charity.

It’s still not too late to hold a Blooming Great Tea Party so please call Hannah on 01604 442316 or email hannah.steele@mariecurie.org.uk for a free tea party pack and more information.
