A family which had earlier offered a £2,000 reward to find their missing father is in mourning after his body was pulled from the River Nene in Wisbech.
Andy Lee, 64, from Wisbech, went missing on August 31 and his family had launched an appeal to try to find him.
But at 12pm on Saturday, police were called to reports of a body in the River Nene near Freedom Bridge.
Officers and police divers attended the scene and Mr Lee’s body was recovered.
A police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious and has been passed to the coroner.
Tributes have been posted on Facebook, with one saying: “My dear dear friend, what are we going to do without your dry sense of humour?
“Always making me laugh, we loved you so much. A very special friend. I am going to miss you.”
