TURNING back the clocks for former pupils and staff of Upwell Secondary Modern School led to a £500 donation to the village health centre towards equipment for the benefit of patients.
The money was raised as a result of the reunion which was held on July 28 at Upwell Village Hall.
On Tuesday, Dr Paul Williams, from the health centre, received the cheque for the Hunter-Rowe Trust, the registered charity for Upwell Health Centre.
Dr David Bevan explained there are a few capital projects which are in need of funds and these include that the centre would like to purchase a cardio check analyser which can deliver an instant cholesterol reading. This equipment would help the doctors in prescribing treatments much quicker.
Making the presentation was William Smith who organised the reunion with help from Nigel. Over 100 people attended the reunion, held to mark the 65th birthdays this year of most of the former pupils.
The reunion included a slide show presentation along with pictures of the school, events and pupils.
