THE Anglia Co-operative Travel team at March have shown they’re on the right road – by scooping the Society’s prestigious travel branch of the year award.
They beat off 12 other Anglia Co-operative Travel branches to land the accolade – recognition for their customer service, community involvement and team spirit. The branch only opened in 2010 and moved to its current base at 34 Broad Street in May, 2011.
Specialist retail group manager Paul Dale said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to get this hotly-contested award, having been open for just two years.
“The team at March have a wonderful spirit and drive and it shows in their customer service.”
The March branch also scooped two other Anglia Co-operative Travel best team awards for cruise holiday and Western Union services, as well as sharing the mystery shopper ward for customer service with the branch at Wisbech.
Manager Natasha Thatcher and colleagues Jane Savage, Lisa Howe and Jo O’Neil organised Easter and Christmas appeals during the year in aid of local causes and also staged a holiday show at the town’s Oliver Cromwell Hotel.
Natasha said: “We’re very proud to earn the branch of the year award. Alongside the other awards it is recognition that we always strive to give our customers the best possible service and advice.”
