Former British welterweight boxing champion, Dave “Boy” Green made a guest appearance at the charity stall in March market square recently, when the local Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising committee officially launched Walk for Macmillan 2014.

It thanked the generous people of March who not only took registration forms for the walk, but bought £157 of raffle tickets and donated a further £43.81 to help those affected by cancer.

Dave “Boy” Green will be the official starter of this year’s 5km walk, which takes place on Sunday, September 7, starting at 11am at the Band Stand in West End Park. For information and registration forms, please email: MarchMacmillanCommittee@yahoo.co.uk or call 07961 507515.
