Police and crime news

From March – Sgt Martin Monger.

We have been using Facebook and Twitter to let you know what’s been happening, what we are doing and forthcoming events. Please like our “Policing March and Chatteris” page and those of Wisbech and Whittlesey, as this will allow you to keep up to date with current activities and information from this area and the whole of Cambridgeshire. It also allows you the opportunity to message us.

The team is getting a new PCSO transferring from Peterborough who has experience of working in schools and problem solving. We have said goodbye to PCSO Cheverton who is moving away from this area, where she has been leading ‘neighbourhood alert’. If you are not signed up, please go online and take a look it gives you information from the police linked to your neighbourhood.

We have had some successes recently around shoplifting and will continue to support our retailers. If you see any suspicious behaviour please bring it to the attention of staff and the police.

There has also been arrests for commercial burglaries and dwelling house burglaries. Again please contact the police if you see anything or hear overhear someone naming offenders.

Remember we can be contacted on 101, Facebook, or email your neighbourhood team by going the Cambridgeshire police website.
