Cambridgeshire based Beacon Wealth Management Ltd has won the Chamber of Commerce award for the Most Promising New Business in the East of England.

This is the company’s second award win this year, after winning the Citywire East of England Advisers of the Year 2013 in January.

The Most Promising New Business Award highlights the success Beacon Wealth Management Ltd (BWM) has had in such a short time.

The company was set up in 2010 and quickly frew, taking on more advisors to specialise in areas such as Long Term Care and Mortgages.

Throughout this year alone Beacon has seen substantial growth not only in terms of revenue but the team itself, taking on four more members of staff in the first half of the year with three more members starting from October.

Over the past two years Beacon renovated an Old Chapel within the Village of Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire to make room for their expected expansion.

Tony Larkins, Beacon’s managing director said: “After winning East of England Advisers of the year in January, it seemed that we had started the year with a bang. Now I am delighted to say we have won yet another award, but it doesn’t stop there.

“Winning The Most Promising New Business award for East of England qualifies us to be entered into the national finals for Business of the Year 2013, which again is very exciting for Beacon Wealth Management Ltd to be nominated as a whole business and not one singular person.”

Beacon Wealth Management Ltd was the only company in Cambridgeshire to be shortlisted within any of the East of England awards, and has been nominated for two other awards.

Beacon will also be attending the Peterborough Business Focus event run by Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce on 16 October.
