FENLAND could have a new equestrian training centre if a plan is approved by the district council.
A planning application has been submitted by Amanda Pinder, of Fenland Livery, to build a training centre, tack shop, menage and lunge area, off Redmoor Lane in Wisbech.
The site, opposite Cobra Engineering, already has stables and Mrs Pinder wishes to expand the business.
The training centre, proposed to be 440 square metres, would provide riding lessons and training courses to the public, from horse management and care to professional qualifications.
The design and access statement submitted to FDC states: “It is intended that the client will deliver top quality training in a professionally run centre to anyone who is willing to learn and enable the public to have access to the sport, whether it be for pleasure or career development.”
Mrs Pinder is also planning to have a small reception/ tack shop, where customers will be able to book sessions and buy equestrian essentials.
The development, if given permission, would create four new jobs, in addition to the two people that already work at Fenland Livery.
