Help at hand for Fenland’s podgy pooches

The Fens’ Fidos are getting fatter - and in response the region’s branches of 99p Stores has rolled out low-fat snacks and food for dogs.

They are also offering a ‘Canine Care Kit’ which includes the doggie snacks as well as exercise aids.

It is believed this is the first time a national retailer has rolled out such a range.

“We are responding to requests from our great family of customers,” reveals 99p Stores boss Hussein Lalani.

“With the days now getting longer and spring finally around the corner our range may well help kick-start an exercise regime.”

The value brand’s ten items for under a tenner kit include 99p packs of ‘Mini Bones’ that are “low in fat” – as well as four balls for 99p for Fido to stretch its podgy paws.

Wisbech’s town centre branch stocks more than 5,000 different 99p products, most well known household brands. It has also a very wide pet range.
